> Fumie Kamitoh is a certified clinical psychologist in Japan and a nationally certified counselor in the U.S. with 13 years of clinical experience. Born and raised in Japan, Fumie received her higher education in both Japan and U.S. and is fully bilingual.
> She received her Master of Counseling (M.C.) in 1998 from Idaho State University, with an emphasis in mental health counseling. Fumie has extensive experience working with both Japanese and English-speaking clients on issues including depression; anxiety; work and interpersonal stress; self-esteem; and marital conflicts. In addition, she facilitates workshops on issues including parenting; interpersonal communication; and stress management at schools, corporations, and various other organisations.
> Fumie worked at the Tokyo English Life Line (TELL) as a Community Counseling Service Psychotherapist from 1999 to 2009; as a counselor at the Isezaki Women’s Clinic Counseling Center from 2000 to 2002; and as a mental health counselor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Health Center from 2002 to 2012. In 2009 she established her own private practice. Fumie is a Nationally Certified Counselor in the U.S. and a Certified Clinical Psychologist in Japan.
